Field Day 2025

Dear Monterey Families,

Field Day is back! Please review this letter to ensure you send your student to school prepared for this year’s Field Day fun.

Tuesday, May 27
Grades K-5
  • Times:
    • Grades 3-5 will be held from 9:00 -11:00 am
    • Grades K-2 will be held from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
  • Location: Big field/playground in front of the school.
  • Lunch: Normal school lunches will be provided.
  • We highly recommend packing an extra set of clothes/towels in case students choose to participate in water activities.
Wednesday, May 28
Grades 6-8
  • Field Day rec sporting events will be held from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., on the field with their teams. 
  • Lunch: Normal school lunches will be provided. 
  • 8th-grade families may pick up students early to get ready for the 8th-grade continuation following the school day.
 
For ALL field day activities, grades K-8, please ensure your child is dressed comfortably/ appropriately, and prepared to be outside.
Students should come prepared with:
  • Tennis shoes – No open-toed shoes, cleats, platforms, boots, etc.
  • Sunscreen – sunscreen should be applied before school, or your child should pack sunscreen.
  • Hats/Sunglasses 
  • Water bottle (labeled with your child's name)
  • Please note: Tank tops and any other inappropriate or revealing clothing will NOT be allowed. This includes white shirts (could become transparent if wet), transparent clothing, dresses, etc. Please have students tie their hair up and remove all jewelry as well.
At Monterey, it is a privilege for students to participate in our Field Day. The day is meant to be a fun time to celebrate the end of the school year and appropriate behavior is required for everyone to enjoy the day. 🙂
