Parents as Partners
We value family involvement and believe it is a necessary part of a student’s education. There are numerous opportunities to volunteer including: monthly parent meetings, parent volunteer coordinators, class parties, volunteering, fundraising, and serving on Monterey Schools Advisory and Accountability Committee (SAAC).
Open Communication
Frequent and open communication between home and school is crucial for student success. At Monterey, we have several ways in which you can contact the school and your child’s teacher. All staff have an email address that consists of their last name, first name initial @mapleton.us. For example: ico@mapleton.us. Teachers may be reached at the main school phone number as well: 303.853.1360.
In addition to regular communication with your child’s teacher, information may also be found on the digital message board located in front of the school building. School wide communication will be posted on Monterey’s website and emailed to parents through the parent portal in Infinite Campus. Please make sure your contact information is accurate in Infinite Campus. We use this information to stay in contact with you throughout the school year.
